    Hey all,

I've been lurking here for awhile trying to find ideas for fixing up my '02 Tacoma standard cab base 2WD. I've finally decided what I want to do, and it includes a toolbox.

Does anyone know the maximum dimensions for a toolbox to fit in one of these?

    I was hoping a 60" x 20" x 14" low-profile Cam-Locker toolbox would fit.

I recently picked this up from Lowe’s. I deleted the darn dimension picture that it had on it’s display. Swing by your local Lowe’s and check em out. They all show the exact dimensions.

I believe I have the same bed dimensions as you. I’ll try to take an exact measurement of the box later today.

I measured my bed and it was roughly 60.5" wide x 74.5" long x 16" deep. Did you get a chance to measure yours?

Basically, the information I'm looking for is the maximum depth that will clear the fender wells. Does anyone know this?

Thanks for the measurements! It doesn't look like any of the Camlocker toolboxes will fit, unfortunately!

Based on what you showed me, I decided to give this UWS toolbox a shot: https://www.uwsta.com/part/TBS-60-A-LP-BLK

I believe it will clear the fender wells, because it's angled. I'll post an update later on whether this is true or not.

Their website it doesn't fit my truck (2002 Tacoma Base 4x2, Regular Cab, Fleetside), but I was strategic about this order. I've placed it for in-store pickup, and will take it out to the truck immediately. If it doesn't fit, I'll return it.

I've got an old toolbox I took some measurements of myself. I'll leave the photos here, in case it helps anyone with the same truck as me in the future. :)

Sorry for the double post, but here's an update in case anyone ever searches and finds this thread useful:

This is the UWS toolbox linked in the post above, which their website and every other website under God's green earth says does not fit in my truck. Fits like a glove and looks great!

I positioned it in the middle of the wheel wells with no issue, so yes.
