    Hey guys,

Got a job recently and I'm starting to add stuff to the truck a little more seriously now. My next goal is a toolbox for the bed, but I don't know a lot about them. I want to keep it on the smaller side (low profile and not full length). Don't know a good brand either, considered kobalt, tractor supply, etc. Has to be able to support a couple of guys sitting on it, and don't want it to sink in down the road. What are yall's experiences and recommendations on this?

    Thanks
    Dan

A toolbox is a great addition to the truck. Cost-wise the two best options are going to be the 62" Kobalt/BetterBuilt boxes (same box with different name on it) or the 62" Husky.

The Kobalt/BetterBuilt comes in a 12" and 20" width, the Husky only comes in a 20" I believe. The Husky is definitely the stronger box if your looking to have people standing on it.

I went with the Kobalt 12" because with the 6ft bed I can still fit my dirtbike in there diagonally with the gate closed. I can fit my helmet and the majority of my gear in the box too.

Your loosing almost double the bed space with the 20" box; but if you don't need it, the 20" is the better option for storage.

Check craigslist around you for used boxes first, I got mine for $50. There's hardly any difference between a new and used box.
