"Overland" is just camping with a vehicle.

There's no checklist, there's no specific set of accessories you need to buy, nothing like that.

Now if you are coming across obstacles during your travels that are hard to navigate over, that's where we can help to offer advice on vehicle upgrades and so forth.

But really, these vehicles, are extremely capable in stock form.

Even more if you've got a 4x4 with factory rear locker.

    Btw, welcome to the forum.

    Enjoy!

Oh and real quick, if you were going to spend money on anything at all, I would suggest quality all-terrains!

Honestly I would rather Guard my truck with some armor when I get up in the woods in Oregon if I just slam down on a rock or a stump thank you sir for your input but in my opinion rock sliders comes first to get me there and get me back without spending a ton of money on body damage... More on the list soon but as far as tires I have already bought a set of BF good rich KO twos on Helo rims for $1100 all the way around and want to get to 5000 miles I plan on buying my fifth to rotate

I wheeled 25 years before I ever bought sliders. If you’re worried about slamming down on a rock or stump, just drive more strategically and slowly.

Agree, especially on a camping trip vs a offroad day.

Woooo S. Oregon Tacoma owners! Have you gotten much of a chance to get out and explore much in your first gen? I got my Tacoma a year ago and have been trying to camp/explore as much as possible.

Nice, haven't been out there yet. Definitely down to get together for some exploring. Only have 1 or 2 buddys out here that go exploring and they're both in massive full size trucks so they can't make it up some of the trails.

Airing down definitely makes the biggest difference in traction and having to air up after to get going on the highway. And a winch and maxtrax are a must to get yourself out of a situation, especially if you’re by yourself. And fire extinguisher for possibly the vehicle but personally I carry more for the outdoors, just incase a camp fire somehow got outta control in some way. And all the rest as well for getting out of the Bush in an emergency
