Been watching this series and it's great seeing the 1st gens getting some love. Curious to see what their build ends up looking like.

not sure of the point of that video.

I mean, it kida shows that all that crap on a Pro isn’t really necessary, since a 20 year old strip model did all the same stuff.

I honestly couldn’t make it past the part where the guy couldn’t make it up the “hard” line. He seems surprized that his open diff tacoma struggled to crawl up a rutted out hill. He is either purposefully taking terrible lines, or is jist bad at picking lines.

And that puddle was barely up to the bottom of the hubs, that wouldn’t have been up to the doors on my corolla, lol.

The. He gets in a fully built jeep and does the same thing. Wtf.

Those guys have never struck me as having any real experience off road driving, and their driving and line choice in this video demonstrate that.

1996-JBA upper control arms, replaceable Cardan joint drive shaft, leveling kit, camper shell, trailer hitch... 2001- TRD Supercharged, TRD headers...
    That was hard to watch.
But of course. First gen is best gen. If you put rear lockers, and SAS swap on the first gen, it would out perform both the new trd off-road Tacoma and the gladiator
