I know this may sound ridiculous but wondering if anyone has a video or written instructions on how to remove the glove box on a 1st gen Tacoma. I have a 2002 4WD and it seems the woodpeckers have found a way to put acorns in the cabin filter (I am not even sure if the 2002 has a filter, but I know acorns are in the blower area). Any tips on how to remove these? They make a lot of noise and blow incredible dust into the cab.

I found this video on Youtube that shows how to remove the glove box and blower motor, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2t4US-iGLLk

You may have to remove the cowl cover from the top side as well, here's a pic of someone who cut into the sheet metal and added some wire mesh to the intake vent to keep critters out. You won't have easy access to the intake without cutting, but at least this shows what the HVAC air intake looks like.

Crusty Taco - Thank you... this is just what I was searching for. And taking your lead on search words "blower motor", I just found this, which may solve the noise, at least short term. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rvui9x2IkTA

Well, I removed the blower and a dead mouse fell out. Pretty fresh so glad I found it before it started rotting. :-(

Lol, I thought I was the only one to have a mouse in the blower.
Little bastard had a pretty good nest in there until I turned it on.
    He didn't make it either.

Thanks for this video. It helped me with to get access to my ECM for my auto-to-manual swap.
