    There are many different options.

Pick one that is easy for you

Just know how to bypass things for the day the switch fails

Other than shutting down the fuel flow if you roll or crash what is the purpose?

Security, layers of security to slow down a thief. Its something anyone who constantly adds value to there vehicle should be looking into because sometimes the thief isn't quip to remove items quickly from the vehicle, so they'll just take the whole damn thing. You may think you live in a good neighborhood, you got neighbors to look out for you, but they aren't monitoring your home 24/7/365 because they have their own going on too. So you do what you have to, may not be enough, but it slows them down or deter's them.

I hate to say it, but if your truck have something thieves want, they can still take it with all the kill switch you install. My buddy had his crawler towed (yes using a tow truck) right off his driveway. He wouldn't know how it got stolen if not for his security camera. 30 days later, insurance consider it a total loss since it was not recover and short change him too.

So do you install a hidden shut off switch somewhere?

If someone wants to steal mine they can have it. I rather get bent over by my insurance company than deal with the wanks, low ballers and dreamers of CL

I'm not saying a vehicle can be made impossible to steal, however reducing the chances that a vehicle will be stolen is a logical conclusion when you have enough invested in non-insurable parts. If you're living in a podunk town like where I used to live, then sure, you can leave your doors unlocked and the keys in the ignition and you'll most likely be all set, but move to a considerably populated area and there will be multiple kinds of thieves with varying skill sets and resources when it comes to defeating anti-theft devices. Just think of it as anti-theft Darwinism where the weak (aka easier to steal) vehicles are the first and most common prey (cough, Civics, cough).

You can get a self latching relay in line with the fuel pump that will not close until you push a hidden button (or a non-functioning one in a factory location) while starting the ignition and then stay closed until the engine shuts off and must be pressed again the next time the vehicle is started. I was even considering putting a broken fuel pump relay in at night to throw off thieves when / if they opened the fuse box. A brake pedal lock will slow thieves down in conjunction with some other anti-theft devices.

Along with a battery kill switch, a fuel pump switch is a great thief deterrent. Assuming they jump the battery kill switch and get the truck started with the fuel remaining in the fuel line, without the pump running they run out of gas rather quickly. So, when the truck runs out of gas in the middle of an intersection 2 blocks away, they're not likely to hang around trying to fix it and would usually abandon the vehicle. I use the cigarette lighter as the switch. In the racing world, a life safety battery kill switch is required as it kills power to the entire car including the fuel pump. ChrisFix has an excellent video on how to properly install a kill switch. He's a perfectionist. His attention to detail is spot on: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3Oshy9FOaA

No....but there is now about 5 companies that have popped up lately.....all using same concept....
    and about same price....

They have the fob and most have something that sticks in the lighter.....

don't know if I like that ideal.....would rather have mechanical switch.....that its fail state....is on.....
kinda what we have in RC world......

    Last time I checked on a different one.....their website.....crashed........

I'm using total different approach......I just don't repaint......and it really needs it.......

Wouldn't hurt to carry an extra starter relay and pump relay on board seeing how these are 25yrs and counting......

Some folks I've talked to had some experience with these kinds of things a few years ago. Poor reliability in their view.
