Has anyone painted their factory front bumper (plastic area) to match the grille? My 1st gen's grille appears to have a dark gray flake to it. I thought of having the front bumper plastics painted to match and not have to keep applying plastics protectants/cleaners to make it look appealing.

Photos of your painted front bumpers help!

I could not find a color code for my grill on my first gen so I took the grill into Toyota. The closest match was Magnetic Gray Metallic (2nd Gen color). It was nearly identical to the original grill color do I had it repainted that color when my truck was resprayed.CE70A33B-3C10-44C8-BE58-5F176EB737DF.jpg

Be careful if you want to use an automotive 2k clear on top of that rusto bedliner - I did a hood using good quality base coat and bed liner in the middle to reduce glare (truck is white so gloss black is still less reflective than gloss white). I let the bed liner off-gas for over a month in hot dry summer in California and when I sprayed it with clear, the white looked amazing while the bed liner peeled like a 3rd degree burn.
