One that i really like is to use an old FJ80 grille inside the first gen grille.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
Do it yourself. Not too hard but a bit time consuming.

I bought one off ebay for about $120 so I could work at my leisure then sold my original grill for $150 (it was chrome and better shape than the ebay grill).

Don't worry about the ebay grill as you'r going to cut it up and sand it down. Just be sure its not broken at the corner (a common weak spot).

Yep! That’s the one! I actually prefer this look over the Satoshi.
Not that I’m aware of. But you just cut out the center of the first gen grille and then start trimming an FJ80 grille until it fits in the first gen grille, then glue it in with Goop or something similar.

I used a 1990s pickup emblem, which IMO fits the front end of my 95 grill the best. The fj60 emblems are too big in my opinion, although that fj80 looks badass on the 2000+ front end

So is the FJ 80 Grille insert already basically the right size once the stock grille middle is cut out? (I have an 02 and looking for grille/front bumper options, more style than function as the look of the truck is a bit tired from the previous owners lack of maintenance)

Was it alot of messing around to fit the emblem in that mesh grille or did it go not too bad?
