Anyone know if there is a "noticeable" difference between pre 2010 black paint code 209 versus post 2010 black paint code 202? I am looking for a replacement door for my 2012 Tacoma which is black paint code 202. Found a door but it is black paint code 209, so just trying to clarify if the paint has a noticeable difference?

    Thanks,

    Chris

    There is a difference.

202 is a 'straight' black, meaning that there aren't any metallic or pearl effect toners in that formula.

209 has metallic toners. So this particular code will have the 'sparkle' look to it.

If you aren't that concerned then get the door. Me personally, I would continue to search for the 202 part that you currently have on your vehicle.
