Oh dude... that’s asking for the world here.

Wiring is the most difficult part of an engine swap. It’s not as easy as you think. You have to merge the Tacoma body harness with the 1JZ engine harness so you can get them to coexist. Then you have to ask yourself if you want to maintain certain things like AC, if you’re going to use the 1JZ cluster or Tacoma cluster, which body integration module you’re using, emissions and fuel system wiring, etc.

If you’re not wiring it yourself it’s going to be prohibitively expensive. That’s going to be hundreds of hours of labor.

That’s like $10k worth of labor.

Do you at least have the stock wiring for both the truck and 1jz?

So you have no schematics for the taco or for the donor engine?

there are places online that will do it for you as well. You need to send them both complete harnesses. I’ll ask my buddy who he went through.

it’ll probably cost more than he paid, though....his was an old school nova and 2003 vette. You have two fairly modern cars

I could do this for you but it depends on where you are located

Also just FYI if you are going to run the automatic tranny u may need more parts from the donor car

And I'm not sure but from your pictures it looks like u cut the cross member if you did it would be better for you to weld that back in place and just get a front sump oil pan the engine will sit perfectly and its a lot less work

okay, so I talked to him. He said his was not a one of since it’s a pretty common swap.

He said to do it yourself . “It’s easy just takes forever.” But to be fair, this guy is pretty damn talented with a wrench.

I agree to do it properly you also should extend the harness you can get a rough idea of how long by looking at the stock harness firewall grommet

It really doesn’t make sense to me to do an engine swap and pay someone else to do the wiring, that’s going to cost a butt load of cash. Especially with two modern vehicles the wiring is much more complex that it was on say a 1965 Mustang.

Well with other MFG it can be complicated but Toyota is pretty straight forward with wiring as long as you understand the designations for the sensors and stuff they are really consistent and the model year he is working with is not that hard. To me the hardest part is extending the harness just because its time consuming!

Yeah I would say it’s more time consuming than difficult, but if you don’t know your way around wires it’s definitely daunting.
