Tacoma's fuel pumps only run when the motor is turning over either by cranking it with the starter or after she is running. If yo are expecting to hear the pump when you turn the key to "ON", it doesn't work that way.

Just how much water is now on the floor of the truck ?? Did it pour out when you opened the doors??

Did you pressure wash the engine compartment ??

You mean it cranks but does not start ??The air intake is not disconnected ??

Might just be a random failure that just happened when the truck got washed.

How old is the fuel pump ?? When was the last fuel filter changed??

Ok well I didn’t wash the engein bag and it wasn’t like a super in depth wash it was just 2 minutes to get all of the road salt off of the body and i can tell it isn’t getting fuel because it will start with either and then instantly shut off after u stop spraying and I did that sparingly because I know starting things with either is not good for your engine but it will crank but there is no fuel
It should still be on the stock pump and filter

See what happens after it dries out.

Toyota connectors are pretty water resistant but in old age can start to leak if you hit the fuel pump connector or others who knows .

Is the check engine light on?? Any Codes ??

It’s not throwing any codes but it the light is always on when the truck isn’t actually running so idk it shuts off when it fires up

It sounds like some water got into a plug somewhere. I second what Wyoming09 says.

It's called the circuit opening relay, looks to be below the steering column. You also need to check the EFI relay, it feeds the circuit opening relay

Ok I figured out the problem I pulled my tank and my pump wiring had melted so I’m lucky that my truck didn’t burn down

I'm curious how that would even happen, that wire connecting the fuel pump should be stationary.
