    Just gettin started
In calling multiple Toyota dealerships today they refuse to give out part numbers now for parts only a quote number for how much they want to charge you. When did that policy start they've always given me part numbers in the past. I want the black ones not the chrome and people do not use the aftermarket ones they suck mine barely lasted three months before they started cracking and breaking again they're cheap all right

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
Quite simple the parts people are being paid to look up a part for you. That in most cases you will never buy from them.

Prices change so fast the price your quoted is not going to mean much. Parts that took a few days can now be weeks out

I am waiting on a Part ordered in Feb. 2022

Do you know the names of the parts people do you have accounts with several Toyota dealers?

In these days every business is understaffed it seems.

It just depends on the dealer you talk to. Most people don't do it because they don't want to lose a potential sale. Why do all the work and not get any credit?

I have used McGeorge to actually get my local toyota shop to lower their price. If you get a good parts guy I just tell them that I know I have to pay extra because they can get it quicker so you have to pay for that convenience, but its this much online can ya work with me here. If its something not needed fast then I just order online. Get to know one guy in the parts department and deal with him every time and the more you use him the more likely you are to get a deal. My local guy just knocked 220$ off a large parts order for me and got it in 2 days vs the typical 6 to 14 online. He knows I will be talking only to him when I need a part. Another benefit is asking your local guy how long before they can get the part in, if they cannot tell you then if you order online expect a hefty delay on that order.

Those actually look decent. Do you have them on your truck? That little plastic piece that holds the metal rod though is the part that usually breaks so if its sturdy then its a good price but I am just done with aftermarket on something used every time I need my truck.
