    Couple of questions..

I've owned this truck for 22 years and have put alot of miles on it..

It's definitely due for an upgrade on a mild suspension lift / tires and wheels..

Thinking about going with the Fabtec 3" lift but, I'm definitely inexperienced with buying wheels.. I know that there are a few variables involved, like wheel offset..

Looking for a bit of advice.. I want to stick with a standard 15 inch wheel and maybe run a 30 inch AT tire..

Anyone out there with a similar truck that has already been down this road?

I've ventured here and there online, looking for first generation wheel tire combos and haven't really found anything that I absolutely have to own..

Getting back to the offset, I do not like the wheel to protrude outside of the fender much.. I'd prefer kind of a narrow wheel or, minimum offset..

Any help or, pictures would be great..

Thanks Das.. I've been contemplating cleaning this little truck up for a while, as it so deserves it..
I'm at 410,000 thousand miles.. It needs its first bit of work now, so I think that I'll throw some money at it.. The head gasket blew about 3 years ago.. It's never gotten oil in the coolant, so I've just continued to drive it.. I'm going to tear it down prior to summer and have the head rebuild.. I've lost some compression in the leaky cylinder but, I'm hoping that it'll come back some with fresh valves.. I'm actually pretty convinced that it has a bent valve (hence the compression loss) anyway it'll be worth every penny thrown at it..

Not to get off subject, just a quick little brief on what's going on..

I want to clean it up cosmetically as well..

I think 31 inch tires may be a bit much with the mileage..

Although, 30's won't act much different.. I'd imagine..

What about a wheel combination.. Any online recommendations..

I don't want an intricate wheel, which will be hard to clean

31s are maybe half an inch larger in reality diameter-wise compared to 30's, weight changes will be what you'd need to be wary of in that case. love the amount of miles u have, gives me reassurance to keep this gem. Mine blew a hg and I had to change out it along with a new OEM head around ~25k-30k miles ago. HAsn't skipped a beat since. (just passed 150k 2 weeks ago)

our wheels are 5x4.5 lug pattern, old jeep wrangler and cherokees from the 90's, ranger and explorer wheels from same year range will all fit. I bout a set of xj wheels from a person on offerup for 50 bucks, sanded down and repainted to be re used which fit well. They dont have much poke with the backspacing. There's a lot of old threads in the 5 lug section which cover some stock tires which fit from other vehicles if u wanna keep cost down
