Let's just say you had my 1996 5 lug and $4500 cash to mod it, what would you do? And no selling the truck for a 4x4 is not an option :D. Truck already has an aal and spacer lift, but I no longer have a garage so I have to pay for installations  Also where I am its very flat but with mostly clay roads in case that helps (ie no rock crawler SAS builds ;)).
    Pic of the truck now:

Sounds like you want a more off-roading look? Not really many options out there like that for 5 luggers...most kits and parts are designed for the 6 lug 4x4 or Prerunner. If you use the search tool up top to the right, type in '5 lug' and hit the 'tiles only' button there are tons of threads on lift options and such for the 5 luggers.

Sounds like it takes some sourcing for the right parts and maybe some fabrication work but it can be done. Mind if I ask why selling the truck and getting a 4x4 isn't an option? With $4500 plus whatever you get for the truck, you could get into a nice used 1st gen 4x4 Tacoma.

    Good luck!

I can't sell the truck, the title isn't in my name yet, as it was my grandmothers before she passed away

Custom front bumper and rock sliders, glasspack muffler, shorten exhuast, abs killswitch, roof light bar, rear e locker.
If you already have aal and a spacer lift, I'd just get larger tires and spend the rest on little gears that you'll need down the road. If what you plan to use it for ain't much, don't spend to much.

5 luggers can be built just like any other taco, but your just gonna have to be willing to fab and cut.

This is my 5 lugger, I also got it given to me by my dad. 33s, front spacer lift, rear shackle flip, e locker axle swap, and just custom armor all around. Sas collecting parts as well.

Looks good man, I was thinking of going with a spindle lift to level mine out at the least; I really hate the lean it has now.

I can understand the want to customize but don't go the route that the truck isn't meant to be.
It was Granny's truck and is nice as is, I doubt it even has limited slip (one of my peeves and trucks but it's normal) so trying to look off road is going to come across as silly.

drop it a couple inches. They look good and are still useful....might even actually help mileage a tiny bit and these models are economical.
    Use that aspect.

Sorry but I hate lowered trucks. No offense to any who have theirs that way, but no truck of mine is going that route.

I had a 4x4 f150 before this truck and I never needed to get it out of 2wd. The way my truck is now I've never been stuck, and I've been through some really scetchy stuff :)

I was thinking a spindle lift and then going with 31s. I know 30s fit now but they look hella ugly at this height
    Thinking about these
