Flatbed build, that's still a work in process. First time ever attempting anything like this, so lot's of mistakes, redesigns, and laughs. I enjoyed the time spent with my Dad during this build, and while the welds are ugly (first time welder) they're strong, and if they're bad they were ground out and redone.Still need boxes, headache rack with lights, and removeable rack with seats for hunting. Enjoy!

Awesome build, the lack of rust is disturbing.

Meaning? Everything was wired wheeled, oshpo'd, and multicoats of paint... with just the textured rustoleum spray paint.

I live in the north and a Toyota of that vintage is seldom seen without being completely rusted.

got ya, honestly, that's why I decided to get rid of bed, there were places on tail gate and around fuel spout that were going to have to be addressed as soon as I bought. I thought flat bed was cooler!!!

Nice job! It’s always nice to have a project to include your dad.
Were you able to put a 2” receiver to pull a 4 wheeler trailer?

Chop, chop, get your ass in gear. It won’t do it on its own.
If you can, check a local salvage yard for receivers from a wrecked vehicle. You may be able to fab something that will work for your build.
Can’t wait to see pictures as it progresses.
    Good luck!
