Planning to get the tired 22R changed out this summer, since work on the Tacoma is kinda caught up. GM alternator and some wiring upgrades and a stereo are in the works as well.

That's nothing close to a ~1989 anything at all. 1995-97 facelift 80-Series Land Cruiser. Airbags and the whole updated shebang. One of my favorites indeed though.

Secondly, no 80-Series was even sold until January 1990.

my first Toyota... bought new off the lot @ Desert Toyota

 

lose the shell, clean it up, swap a few fluids and tune up parts, start it up and keep going, lol.....bet it will. cool score

 

Been a minute since I posted in here. My 1980 4x4 I built up that I posted a few pages back and my 1981 PU DLX 5 Speed I added to the fleet back in October. With a fresh brand new windshield!

 

Here’s my 86 that I bought new and still have, I literally bought the cheapest Toyota truck I could buy, no radio, rear bumper, AC, right side mirror, floor mats, cigarette lighter or power anything. This has been the best vehicle ever!
