Sooo.... I was doing a lot of digging around through threads and sites I cannot quite figure out what aftermarket 16 inch aluminum wheels I can get to fit my taco, I have a 2012. Luckily a lot of you have posted a lot of great info! Whenever I get mine I will update this and post my pics!

Also for those of you with 16 inch aftermarket wheels feel free to post pics with wheel brand and specs to show off and help those who are searching for similar things! :D:oldglory:

Most would be cast aluminum such as FN 5 star wheels, SCS F5 wheels, Koing countersteer. These are all under 20 lbs.

Discount tires & tire racks has some but are heavy 23lb to 28lbs.

If you want forged aluminum wheels, Volks TE-37 are 16 lbs. I wish I could afford those.

You could get TRD alloy wheels 24-25 lbs.

I wanted something aftermarket but factory so I got the T-Force 16x8 alloy wheels

My Level 8s are 16x8 and 22 lbs.

I wouldn't say 23-38 lbs is heavy. The TRD OR alloys are 16x7 and are 23 lbs. the TRD Sport 17x8? are 28 lbs.

I used to have a 2.7L 4x4 with the steel wheels which was 30-32 lbs. I thought that was heavy and at the time, I was looking for the lightest wheels.

The TRD are not heavy but it isn't light either compared to some 19lb wheels. 22 lbs isn't bad.

It won't make a huge difference in mpg or performance but it does help.

My 2016 DCSB 4x4 came with steel wheels. I bought 16x8 T-Force alloy wheels which are about 5 lbs lighter than my steelies. I measured with bathroom scale. I gained about 1ish mpg, noticed brakes are a tad more sensitive, probably rides a little smoother "Suspension more responsive with lighter wheels".

I'll check out those wheels, I'm not too concerned about having up to 23lb wheels. It's not going to make a big enough difference to me in mpg. Thank you for the info

I've got some new to me 16 model year OR rims sitting in my garage waiting to go on to replace my 17 Factory rims. Lots of options, if your staying within the normal size variations for these trucks you should be fine.

If you're looking for ultimately lightweight, I'd look at the Konig Countersteer Offroad 16x8 wheels. They're only about 18lbs per wheel if I remember correctly and they look real nice.

Looks like I am now on the waiting list for Matte Gun metal F5 wheels by SCS. I also loved the look of the Stealth 6's but, I didn't want 17" wheels. Thanks for all the help Senors! :militarypress::D

Thanks, I'm also pretty interested in he SR8 cuz the F5 is already similar to my wheels now. So we will see on which one I go with.. I know I'll be happy either way.
