so I was about to order the trail master tm5-5883 steelies for my 02 Tacoma when the guy called me from the store and said they would fit. I was gonna by 15x8 inch and he said that there's not enough spacing and it will hit my caliper before bolting all the way on and I will have to run spacers. Also he said that the 15 inch wheel hub would not fit around my caliper and I would have rubbing. They have 3.75" back spacing and I'm just wondering what you guys think? Does anyone have these rims on a 02 Tacoma if so did they work?

I know people on here have run 15x8s no problem. I think it will work fine. If you have a local wheel or tire shop see of they can test fit a 15x8 on your truck and see in person if one will really fit.

Haven't measured or even looked, but I do know I have double stacked weights on the inside of my rim due to having general grabbers that are very unbalanced and even with the weights on the inside of the rim, still no rubbing.

    Vision off-road 398 Manx, they're aluminum wheels.

    I have these.

And before they were 'vision' rims they were Summit's in-house brand is my assumption because they look/act the same, anyway.

on my 2003 Ltd Tacoma, i did have to shave the front calipers and have had no issues. -or- i could have run those 1/4" spacers but didn't want to. Not sure how your aluminum rims will differ from the steelies so of course YMMV.

I just put a set of the 15x8 Trail master tm5 8553's on my 1996 Tacoma fit perfect, barely missed the calipers, and I mean barely(1/16 of an inch), but no problems at all, running 33x12.5r15 for tires also. 20190115_164948.jpg

But, I have only put these on 1996's so far, so I can't promise the same on different years. Just about to put another set on another 96 Taco tomorrow, white in color, so I the black wheels will look great!

I don't want spacers and I don't want to grind my caliper down so I've gotta find another option

From what I've heard, Procomp aren't that great at making wheels at all. Steel or Aluminum. Steel wheels aren't all a nightmare. They wouldn't come stock on anything if they were.
