So is 150,000 with impeccable service history too many miles? am I looking for trouble soon?

You're better off buying something with less miles. Try not to buy it from a dealership.

If 150k is too many miles then I'm in trouble.

I'm also in seattle and I can agree that the left coast tacoma tax is real

If the truck has the options you want and it really is in good condition then just get it. These trucks really do last a long time and they hold their value well. It's a seller's market out here

Sounds like a lot of miles. Even if it was meticulously maintained. 150,000 miles, and still asking $14,000? Like others have said. l think you can do better for that kinda money.

But you're the one who is buying it. You have to be happy with whatevery you get. Any used vehicle is s risk. You just want to minimize that risk.

Good luck, and let us know what you get.

Based on my experience, that truck has another 100k before any expensive service is needed. If it’s shiny, no damage, interior is not worn, and it’s been well cared for I would consider it a good option.

I don't know where you guys live at but that's extremely cheap for 4x4 drive down here in Georgia.

    Mine was 13.5k at 182,000, a 2011 Prerunner. Basically 90% in condition.
Anything 4x4 is like 20k+ even at 150k in my area.

Your dad got lucky. I got my 2nd gen in Dec and there was nothing in the same ballpark as that price. Dealer and private seller. Every 4x4 that I found with under 100k was close to $20k. My search radius was within 500 miles of San Antonio.

On my 16th birthday in October 2017, we were hunting down cheap cars. We found a nice 2002 Tacoma double cab with 173,000 miles for $8,000 in Houston. We were going to buy it, but I then searched the Dallas area and found my current truck. The guy was retired, and wanted it to sell FAST, so that is why he listed it for cheap.
