I got my front windows at 20% and nothing on the back windows or rear window. I would like it a little darker and was thinking about getting 15% all around. For those with more tint experience would that make a big difference? I don't want anything on the front windshield.

I depends on your local laws on tints on auto windows, have to find out. Go from there.

18% per the tint shop. I was thinking of maybe going 5% on the rear and see what that does.

If you want it to somewhat match you want to get ~20% on the front and something like 75 or 50 on the rears

5% sucks at night. You literally can’t see crap.

I had 35% at first on only the front windows of my second gen, which I believe has the same level of factory tint, and I didn’t care for it.

I now have 15% all the way around and it’s great. My camper shell has 5% all the way around and the back window is almost unusable. Keep in mind though that I’m having to look through more pieces of glass than a factory window.
My wife’s Subaru has 15% all the way around and it’s great. If I take the camper shell off I’d do 15% on the back window of the truck.

assuming you had factory died windows, you could do something like 15% front and 35 rear, that should get you about ~10 all around.

though my wifes suv has ~12% measured and I cant see shit at night time through the mirrors

I forgot what percent I have but the first time I approached a stop sign to make a right turn, I put the brakes on because the headlights didn't shine until I saw them in my windshield! Doh!

I'm real cautious at night now...

So do you mean you put 15% over the factory rear windows ?

Yea thats what I was thinking. The 20% isn't horrible but during midday sun it doesn't give much privacy

Correct. 15% on the front, 15% over the factory rear tint.

edit: just to be clear, no tint the windshield. I don’t screw with my forward visibility
