R134a is R134a. Can also doesn’t measure what quantity you’re injecting.

Doesn't have sealant in it, so good to go. I'm of the opinion to never use A/C system sealant, unless you know where the leak is and/or the leak's not worth fixing (because the vehicle ain't worth squat)

I'd strongly recommend buying a manifold rather than just a charging hose, you'll also need a self-sealing (they're different from the old-style can piercing ones) can tap. I'd also recommend learning what you're doing... you can definitely damage some $hit just winging it, and knowing what you're doing will also help you recognize if you're just blowing money into your A/C system when that's not the issue.

Thanks for the reply - got gauges and hose - if I buy the Super Tech 134A can mentioned above do I also need a self-sealing can tap ? Thanks

Depends on what setup you've got. If you have a single charging hose, and it's designed for self-sealing cans, then you're set.

If you have a hose designed for the old cans that just had a pierceable seal, you can get an adapter for new cans. And if you have an actual manifold, it's designed for the fitting on a 30lb tank, so you need a can tap to adapt to the yellow hose.
