I recently installed the long range remote start from 12v solutions on my 2012 tacoma dblcab i am having issues with the initial startup it just cranks but doesnt start. It throws code P1604 startability malfunction.

Truck starts perfectly fine with key after i try the remote start once truck is started i can turn it off and use the remote start and it starts perfectly fine. But if i let it sit for a few hrs i come back and it does the same thing. Anyone else having this issue?

i co tacted the company but am still waiting for a response.

    thanks in advance

Are you still waiting for a response from them? They are very responsive on facebook.

Did you not watch the video on YouTube?

Press down and hold for 3 seconds to start truck or until blue light on fob stays lit

Is it going blue on remote? I would maybe just unplug all connectors and plug them back in.

Yes i know how to use it and what not i hol dit down the vehicle just cranks wont start though you can do it as many tine as you want and it wont work. But you unlock the truck hop in it press it for 3 seconds and it fires up just fine. Like the fuel pump is not turning on or a safety feature is keeping it from starting

I know in the other threads on remote start people where having a similar problem and it had something to do with cranking time. From factory it was set to 1.6 seconds but after setting it to 1.8 seconds the issue went away. I believe it had to do with the Viper Systems. Just something to check out.

Maybe try disconnecting the battery and go from there.

I came on here to post about 12v solutions remote start lol .
Anyone got this for manual trans ?

anyway I would think it would have to do with the crank time as well. I might seen a video about it on youtube , but with the viper 5706v .

There's, got mine working again. There was a little black connection, unplugged, beside the red indicator light, under the steering. Plugged it back in, et voilà!

Got it figured out had nothing to do with the 12v solutions kit.. it was my wireless obd monitor. Working with the company they are looking into it to possibly find a solution so i dont have to unplug ot everytime i shut the truck off

To the owners of this kit, do you still use the OEM FOB to unlock and lock the truck? And that other FOB is for starting the truck?
