Okay finally found the rims I want now the age old question. With a 3” lift in my 2018 tacom 4x4. I’m gonna try to run a 275/(65 or 70??)) 18 tire.

I drive ALOT of gravel so I don’t want the tires to stick out from the fender. What do you guys suggest +1 offset or +20 is my options.

Backspacing and rim width come into play as well. Do some more searching and reading. Look at the 3rd gen build threads. Tons of info to answer your question out there.

Chances are you're looking at an 18x9, I'd opt for the +1mm offset however if you plan to go to a 285 in the future you'd really want a -12mm offset which would yield 4.5" backspacing.

If it is a 9" wide wheel a +1mm offset will yield 5.00" back spacing which will clear fine for the 265 width tires.

Now for your comment about gravel roads and the wheel not sticking out... you'd really want to avoid a 9" wide wheel all together or get a set of wider fender flares. The +20mm offset would hold the wheel and tire in more, but it might cause your tire to rub the UCA/Spindle.

This is comparing stock 16" wheels to the aftermarket wheels with a +1mm offset. You'll see as is the inside of the wheel is about the same location as stock. +20mm would move that further in ~.75"
