I think GTMO stands for Genuine Toyota Motor Oil.

I work at a Toyota dealer and the only reason I use GTMO is because its easier and available.

I strongly suggest using any reputable brand 0W20 that is on sale. Doesn't matter, but skip the Toyota brand oil.

All 0W20 is synthetic, so go it really doesnt matter, but Toyotas is considered lower on the grade scale.

What's the difference from the other option that cost a little more?
Also is it 1 quart too?

I'm trying to find out since it give no information beside the name

Currently this is the cheapest oil with the memorial day discount add on

Any opinion on the Costco/Kirkland brand of synthetic?
Many of the Costco items are rebranded premium products.

It's supposedly be made by Warren Distribution. It's probably identical to Super Tech (Walmart) and Amazon Basics. It's well regarded, not as good as top tier brands, but certainly good enough. It did well in the Project Farm tests. I stocked up recently when it was on sale for $30 for 10 quarts. I bought 3 boxes. We have three cars that all take 0W20.

I’m sure mobile one is great oil I’m not gonna start an oil war thread lol. I used mobile one for many years but in the past few years, I’ve noticed that it makes any vehicle I put it in makes More engine noise. Pennzoil ultra platinum seems to be the opposite at least for me.

I've ran just about every common brand out there, even Supertech, and none of the engines cared. As long as it meets the specs of your engine, roll with it.

The Toyota oil does have a nice dose of molybdenum, which is an anti-wear additive. So, I can see the allure of it, but, I wouldn't go out of my way to get it.

The biggest thing is to change it on time for your driving style. So many debates on that, so I'll let that alone.

Mobil 1, Castrol, Pennzoil, Valvoline, etc. Even Fram from Advance Auto (Amalie) are all fine.

The 5qt bottle for $30 is a better deal. We need 6 quarts of course, but you could buy a 5qt plus 1qt for $7 and still come out ahead. Or buy 6 5qt bottles and have enough for 5 oil changes.

Or get 6 quarts of Havoline for $25.

Thank you for the tip. I guess I was being lazy and the last time I ordered..... I couldn't find the 5 quart jug. I change every 2500-3000 miles (NO FLAMES PLEASE) because I take a LOT of short trips around the base once I get to work where the truck doesn't have a chance to warm up. Any cost savings is a plus at that rate.
