I have an 02 DCSB Tacoma. The ex tore the thing apart (took out door panels, carpet, dash, headliners, etc.) and now I'm trying to put it back together. I am struggling with the AC Control panel. The AC light was not coming on and the guys at the shop that recharged the AC and sealed it (?) (Ex had taken the AC apart as well) said there was something wrong possibly with the controller as they checked all the fuses and such.
I ordered a controller. Replaced it this weekend and the AC will still not work (compressor wont turn on). The lights now come on but the pigtail on the right hand side can be bumped and the lights will stop working. I was thinking a short in the pigtail but do not know where to begin in ordering and replacing it and would that be a reason the AC compressor isn't coming on?
I tried to clean the contacts on the pigtail. They don't look burnt, just dirty.

I am ready to drive this thing off a cliff!

Please change the title to something more problem specific. “AC control panel issue”

Leading with “please help” gets suckers like me to click on this thread thinking this is a legitimate emergency.

    And welcome to the site!

HAHA. Thanks "not Kyle". I would hope a legitimate emergency would call 911. However, this may very well end being a legitimate emergency when I lose my sanity over this stupid truck-Every button and every piece of plastic has to be put back on. On a brighter point, I do have all the pieces and I like puzzles.

But being more specific in the title will probably get me more information on my needed topic. Thanks!

His "idea" was to mod it. Sunroof, radio, speakers, new insulation, blah, blah, blah.....after a year and a half of it sitting in his backyard we parted ways, I took it back, got it painted, body work done and now trying to put the interior back in it. It seems like every time I get one thing finished another thing causes a problem. Youtube has been my friend but I can't find an answer to this.

You’ll figure this out. You’re tough, I can tell. As long of none of the trim is broken you should be well on your way.
