    none yet
Just bought a new 2017 OffRoad two days ago at 1.9% for 72 months through Toyota Financial, but more importantly for me, no prepayment penalties.
The 0.9% offer was for 36, 48, and 60 months.

I wasn't going to get the Toyota "platinum" warranty, initially. I planned to shop all the inevitable third-party warranty offers to come, but changed my mind for three reasons: 1) this truck is basically a computer on wheels, 2) financing the extra $1700 at such a low rate seemed like a no-brainer, especially given the peace-of-mind that comes with it, and 3) the dealer accepted my low-ball offer so quickly I'm basically using those savings.

My plan now is to pay as much extra as I can over the next year, then refinance with my local credit union. They have a permanent "1% cash back rebate" offer, and when I refinanced my JGC with them two years ago I got a rate of 2.49 - if I can get them down to 2% I'd much rather my money stay within my community.

in all fairness to them this is a first on the Tacoma. So can't blame them too much for thinking that.

Yep, overstocked and moving slow. We will probably see a lot of this in the next couple of years. The really bad thing is that this what will tank their resale value. Same thing would happen to the Wrangler if they ever started to put them on sale or offer rebates. It figures that the resale will tank when I get one...lol

60 month and 72 month term was the same back in November in Michigan. The 0% is new. Free money! Be sure an negotiate a great price first and then talk financing terms. I should have waited and gotten a 2018. Darn.

    Lol calm down.

Toyota just sold 18,7xx Tacomas last month... that's an all time record. Nothing is "slowing down" in regards to sales they're selling more than ever.

This is a temporary regional offer its not going to effect your long term resale value. Most likely because its the first time I can remember there was a significant technology change on the same model, only other time that happened that was even close was the facelift in 2012, and come to think of it there was a rebate at that time too.... but only for a month, and that was the ONLY time I'd ever seen incentives on a Tacoma.

With the introduction of sensing on the 18 models I can see them needing to incentives the otherwise really good selling 17 model.

I wouldn't read too much into this...

They also sold 198,000 Tacomas in 2017, also an all time record. Remember when Smitty was swearing up and down sales would fall dramatically any day now?? Wish that guy was still around to see the final YTD17 sales figures lol.

They seem to be doing it for a bunch of their vehicles, so I doubt it would affect the Tacoma resale value. I think Toyota realizes it's losing ground in some areas with other manufacturers updating this year.

I didn't say sales were down, just that they have a lot of 2017's left. Seems like a pretty simple concept to grasp.

If they sold 198,000 do dads in 2017 but made 400,000 do dads it could be a record year of selling do dads but they still have shit load of do dads to sell.

Go to cars.com or autotrader and new 2017's are everywhere.

It makes sense to offer good rates to flush them through the system.

My local dealer has this promotion and they have 48 2017's on the lot and 16 2018's on the lot. The had 57 2017's on the lot when I picked up my 2017. So some dealers have quite a bit of inventory to move, this probably falls in line with the increase in production of Tacoma's the last year.

And this 0% does exclude TRD Pro by the way. I tried and they showed me the exclusion. At least I got $1000 rebate for active military

They run rebates every so often, I remember this past 4th of July they had a $1000 on Tacoma's, you just need to be buying at the right time.

When I bought my Tundra the finance dude tried to slap on a $599 extra charge. When I asked what it was for he said "just something we charge everyone". I said not me and give my my keys back on my trade. He finally took it of. When I did the initial paperwork another finance guy said it got me oil changes for 100,000 miles. I told i do my own. I was surprised when I went in to finalize deal that 2nd guy tried to add back. Finance guys are shady.

My thought was that the significant change in technology/safety features will drop the resale value for the 16s and 17s. True?
