Hey, if you can run the quarter mile and not break the speed limit, is that still considered drag racing?

For real though the op asked a pretty basic question and he's getting gay parade and poverty truck jokes. Not being very constructive guys.

anybody that trashes someone elses purchase on here is an ass! i have a 4banger, i love it. it is the third one i've owned. i have owned little toyota trucks since before you were born ,i'm assumming your young by your rude comment. when i bought my first hilux, which is what it was called, toyota did not make a 6banger. if you don't want one, don't buy one! don't trash me our anyone else for buying one. they are what they are, a little truck with a 4banger.

Come on, Kenny...I was kidding. That was funny. Besides, I drive a 2.7, so I'm kind poking fun at myself.

I had the 2.7 4wd 5 spd manual with 265/70-17 BFG Rugged Terrains. Tried to clock it once on I-95 in Maryland. Hit the end of Florida and had to stop before getting that time.

My man is driving around in a new truck and that's all that matters. When I bought my 2013 2.7 regular cab I bought it cause I thought it was good and it turned out to be great. Was it fast? No. The truck did turn out to be great for what I used it for though.

The SR 4cyj 4x4 I have is no speed demon but handles fine for me on the interstate. Acceleration to 70 is not a problem but I do prefer to pass on the downhill on the interstate.

It's true. The part about shifting into 1st unless you are almost stopped. I can with mine but it depends on temperature from what I've noticed. When it's real cold. Forget it. It's a pain sometimes because I need first gear and second doesn't work at 10 mph. I find myself. just coming to a stop and then shift into first.

Really cold, like 5F and lower it does get resistance, but generally not when warmer. I'm no Ronnie Sox, but have no problem ripping through the gears on the 5-lug.

You do realize that none of these youngsters on here don't get your reference to Ronnie Sox. Heck they might not even get Don Garlitts or Kenny Bernstein. There, I gave it away...

These youngsters also have google and can easily find out who Ronnie Sox is to understand his reference

As to your question, @weldertaco used to take his 4x4 reg cab to the drag strip (Yep, he is a weirdo that lifted, lowered, and then lifted his truck). He might have actual 0-60 numbers...
