Recently installed my HiLine bumper. I love the look of it, but I also like the idea of a high clearance bumper.

There were similar bumpers I could have bought that have “stage 2” high clearance wings I could install but a few factors, including price and appearance, pushed me toward the HiLine.

Has anyone fabricated some “wings” to install on this bumper and be willing to share some specs or insight? I’m decent enough with a welder that I’m comfortable building my own extensions, but would like some insights if anyone has undertaken this project before.

I did see a video on YouTube of a guy modifying the “stage 2” kit for the slimline bumper from Tacoma beast, but I did not like that fitment at all.

You could just do the "viper cut" to the rest of the bumper.

    Youtube it.

I could, but if I do that, I want the metal wings there. I don’t really need the clearance, I just like the appearance of the wings added on. I didn’t buy an actual high clearance bumper because of price and I don’t need it. My tires are no where close to rubbing and I don’t foresee getting bigger tires any time soon.

Was it Bros Fourr Speed? I've seen his truck in person like 30 times and I kinda agree the fitment is a bit weird. An actual high clearance bumper is the way to go

Glad you posted the pic of your truck. My Taco is the same color and was planning on getting the same bumper and grill as yours (raptor lights in the smoked amber though). Nice to see how its going to look beforehand. What winch are you using?
