Has anyone else ever had this litany of messages pop up out of the blue? ABS, PCS, BSM, and “Braking Power Low” all came up and won’t go away after restarting the car, and cleaning the sensors. 2021 Tacoma. Paid off yesterday haha, gotta love the irony. Luckily it should still be under the initial warranty but I curious if anyone else has experienced this and it was something simple/stupid, or if it’s more of an involved issue. Brake fluid level looks fine too.

Going to call the dealer about it on Monday but figured in the meantime I would do some research.

have you messed with or replaced the grill and/or front sensor? If so, I would start there, especially if it's aftermarket.

I would also not rule out small rodent electrical damage. Had to get a sensor and harness replaced on my other vehicle just a few months ago because something chewed through an entire sensor cable.

Rodent damage is certainly possible, hate to say. I live out in the country and they are definitely on my property. Though, I did just notice a hairline crack on the front sensor and it is indeed an aftermarket grill, so I’m hoping that is it. Will order a replacement today.

If it turns out to be neither the sensor nor the grill, any other ideas?

I once had a rat chew off my crankshaft sensor wire. And my car was throwing all kinds of lights and signals.

Replacement garnish ordered. Here’s to hoping it’s as simple as a $30 part.

    cracked sensor is definitely suspect.
Also aftermarket garnish's are known to cause problems. I have read you may have to rig up your own spacers to properly align.

Hopefully not, I ordered the garnish from the same place I got the grill from, it seems like a simple plug and play. Fingers crossed.

To make the Taco jealous I gave my ‘96 T100 a bath right in front of it…better behave Taco, better behave. The T100 is a little time machine. I miss when vehicles were simple. IMG_4800.jpg IMG_4804.jpg

Replaced garnish in the grill, that did not fix it. Took it to dealer and after a few days poking around at it, they determined it was both a bad wheel speed sensor *and* wheel speed sensor wire on the front driver’s side. Thankfully it is covered under warranty so they are doing everything at no cost. Unfortunately the wire is back ordered for a month so it’ll be awhile to get it fixed. Bringing the truck home where it’ll be more secure than in a dealer lot for that long. Will update when part comes in and this is hopefully fixed.

    Nice, that's an easy fix.

Wire probably snagged something and ripped, or a furry critter had a snack.

    Cheap fix regardless, w.o warranty.
