Just picked up a ‘24 TRD OR. The salesman screwed the dealer frame directly to the bumper. Did any of you “front platers” get a bracket with yours? I have noticed some have something that looks like a bracket or spacer that mounts between the bumper and plate. Thx.

    Wow what an idiot!

Luckily my dealer left the front bracket off entirely. No holes.

They did included the bracket separately though with screws. Won’t be mounting it.

My bracket was under the rear seat, it’s now under garbage at the landfill, we don’t have front plates here.

I wonder why Toyota includes the bracket in trucks that are destined for a no front plate state? I bought a vehicle out of state, that has no front plate PA. No front plate bracket was included, bought one at the local dealer. It just snaps on the lower grille, had I known that I would have popped the bracket off the trade vehicle.

Because you might buy in PA but live in a state that has front plates?

What are the odds? I thought front plate brackets came on all vehicles, I'm almost certain that it's listed on the window sticker when it's included can't recall if there's a charge on the sticker. When I bought from PA there was no plate bracket and it wasn't listed on the sticker. That dealer isn't paying for the bracket and neither is the customer because they don't need it. Which makes sense to me.

That's what I thought as well. I live in PA, but buy from a dealer in MD. Always have had the license plate bracket in the back somewhere. They never install them as they get many PA/WV buyers that don't require a front plate. Heck, even our ex rental Camry that was titled out of Arizona had the bracket in the trunk.

It's probably just cheaper to ship the bracket on every single truck than to deal with the additional logistics of deciding which vehicle gets the bracket or not.
