Interesting-curious-and a tad disbelief, sorry. The flutter is occurring because the hood skin is not attached to the hood frame, properly, imho. In this scenario, the weather stripping pushes up on the back of the frame, and not the skin. Not sure if a video would help us disbelievers...

I understand, but my disbelief is gone there is no hood shaking it is all gone. The proof is in the pudding. Not sure when I can get a video but for $10:00 from Amazon even people where disbelief would want to try, I mean mine is fixed..

I am surprised people are not jumping on this! It seems like a great, simple fix for the hood shudder.

Funny you really think I have nothing better to do with my time, but o post false information. Besides if I post a video someone is going to say it’s AI and not a true video just how people are.

I think its gone because you don't have air flow through your engine bay anymore...

Probably not a big deal but I wouldn't recommend IMHO.

If there's a shaking problem, that seems like something must be loose. If so, it will only get worse. I would be taking it in for warranty repair if it was me.

Has anyone ever posted a video of the hood shake? I have heard a few people talk about it but have not seen it. I'm curious to see how bad it is for some people.

It's unfortunate you read that into it... The flutter occurred on my 2nd Gen and the only fix was adding adhesive between the frame and sheet metal. Harder to do on the 4th Gen because of the hood design. Someone can add automobile expanding flexible foam, but caution has to be taken not to blow out the hood skin.

Its more of a "flutter" from the differing speeds of air flow under (threw the engine bay) and over the hood since the hood material is so thin. Its not an issue or anything to worry about but I can see how it would be alarming or at least annoying.

What OP did, I think, was just dam up the air at the back of the hood which probably isn't bad but isn't ideal. His cooling fans probably operate more than typical and his engine bay probably heat soaks more but I'm guessing. Either way, I wouldn't recommend this "fix."

all I did is answer he said he had disbelief, I couldn’t believe something so simple would solve such a problem but it did for $10:00 it can either solve the disbelief, or it can prove that it doesn’t work. I have seen with my own eyes that it does work.

To each their own, leaving it on unless it starts to over heat.
    It is very annoying

They do not consider it warranty work. They consider it normal so they will not do anything about it. All the bolts and everything are tight. Nothing has loosened. It’s been like that since day one

I don't think it will overheat but certainly will have some efficiency loss? Its hard to say but I would look for a better fix if I were you.

Don't get me wrong, it was a good idea; certainly some kudos to you.

I think that was a great fix!

And to solve the problems of air not travelling through there, how about do it in 2 sections with a gap in the center for the air to pass through?

Then everyone can be happy for $10

Its amazing how many automotive thermal dymanics engineers are in this forum. The brain trust we have here is epic.....

I highly doubt it will cause any extreme issues. No more than installing the arc engine covers that limit airflow out of the engine bay. now both of them with a huge underbelly skidplate like the victory 4x4... maybe.

i can see the incoming cabin air getting warmer if your not on a/c and recurc. Im going to try it.

I wonder if only putting weatherstrip in the center section between the wiper fluid jets would be sufficient and also allow heat to escape. Maybe put a remote thermometer (before and after) under the hood and science the shit out of this.
