Agree 100%. None of us know him, but the stories seem to indicate entitlement and arrogance. If true, he deserves the ribbing. The fact they retired his number at Colorado with a 13-12 record is insane. And then the custom draft room screams of self importance.

But I also love a redemption story, so if he learns some humility and earns some success I won’t root against him (other than when he’s playing my team).

Double agreed. Would be happy to see him have success after getting humbled a bit and getting a dose or two of reality.

Not only the Browns (terrible track record drafting QB’s: Tim Couch, Mike Phipps, Brady Quinn, Brandon Weeden, and Johnny Manziel) but he’s the SECOND QB they took this draft! At least he landed somewhere he will get a chance to compete.

 

Hopefully he'll take it to heart and keep his mouth shut.

 

One thing about Deion was that he was cocky and brash but damn did he back it up on the field. I remember him playing corner for the Cowboys and having turf toe so back that he could not run. The QB of the opposing team still would not throw it his way because he thought Deion was playing possum. LOL I think his son is a really good QB but needsw to remember that he has done nothing in the NFL to prove himself. Hopefully this makes him a little more humble, and motivated, to prove folks wrong.

 

Luckily he went to a team known for great coaching so I’m sure he’ll calm down

This is pretty much it. Watched some stuff on NFL Insider and the QB needy teams felt like Shadeur was dictating interviews and how he wanted to run the teams interested in him. Both Shadeur and Deion have stated on record that they are willing to make life difficult for a Team they do not want to be drafted by. There is also question about Shadeur's sportmanship. Bottom line is Shadeur has 1st round talent, but an undraftable attitude. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, but Teams were questioning how Shadeur would accept a culture outside of his Father.

Now if Shadeur is as good as advertised, then he should have no problem beating out Kenny Picket, Dillon Gabriel in camp/preseason, and eventually Joe Flacco. Watson had Achilles surgery so it looks like he may miss the 2025 season. This is a win-win for the Browns after making a terrible mistake trading for and giving Watson a guaranteed deal. If Sanders does eventually win the starting QB gig, the Browns also get him at a discount for that position.

 

Yeah...I was expecting an Olineman in rounds 2 or 3 since they had two picks in the 3rd rd alone. This draft was much stronger in defensive line talent vs offensive line. Looking at the Niners first 4 picks, I am not disappointed given how poorly the run and overall defense ended up last season. But now the Niners have to figure out how to scrape the bottom of the barrel to improve the Oline. Might be a tough year for Brock indeed.
