I’m an ostrich, not gonna watch it. And I will continue with my thinking that I have a good engine in my truck. Oh and continue taking my meds for my paranoid schizophrenia.

Why the hell you worry based on that video? If you are that worry, take it to the dealer for free check, they will tell you when you need or you are good to go.

If you keep your truck in maintenance check periodically such as oil change, etc.. then your truck should be good as long as possible.

Unless one of the parts become defective, then you know the problem. Get it fixed. Then you are good to go.

Nah 4G turbo 4 is less complicated than that Atkinson 3.5 V6.

No as it's got warranty... Out of warranty maybe but I have had a lot of "problem" engines and never had an issue myself. Internet is full of stories.

Short answer - No I am not worried.

Also watch his 2GR-FE videos, 2GR-FKS is basically nothing but updated version of 2GR-FS, which is updated version if 2GR-FE.

    2GR-FE > 2GR-FS > 2GR-FKS

The legendary 5.7 Tundra V8 also used to fail a lot at first. The point is, 2018 is expected to have issues, since engine came out in 2016. He even says that in Taco videos, to avoid 2016-2017 models because its first years of new gen. So same thing happened with that highlander.

Same problems were present with 1GR-FE the 4runner engine, at first it had lots of issues. I mean, aren't all new generation engines have? You can't produce something reliable out of 0, you produce it first, Then later on fix the issues and make it reliable.

Lastly, look at Tundra turbo V6 first years, so many problems. But, down the road next 5-6 years, that twin turbo V6 will become very reliable, that's how toyota works. They make thing and then they take care of it and keep updating it until it works great.

His videos are great, just watch 2GR-FEs. He shows all of the engine from inside and all, he is very talented and trustworthy if you ask me.

Nope. Didn’t even bother watching the video. Any video with a clickbait BS thumbnail like that gets passed. I stopped caring about YouTube technicians opinions years ago.

The Car Care Nut's 4th gen review (6 months ago) wasn't as positive as the 3rd gen review 1 year ago. I'm guessing with 1.3+ million followers this guy really took a bite out of 4th gen sales.. so I take this video as a gift and apology to Toyota corporate and dealers across the country.

That's my $0.02 and worth what you paid.

How can anyone worry about the Toyota V6 engine knowing the zombie apocalypse is starting any day now. Let’s get our worry priorities right.

I don’t understand the rave about this Car Care Nut guy. Sure he could’ve been a master Toyota tech for the last 900 years and sure he makes some valid points at times but most of his insights are blind with no real statistics to back it up. A lot of “bullet proof” chatter and “back in the day” mumbo that I technically don’t really care about. Like a guy said before in an earlier video he made, the “pro” swore head to toe about the 3.5
This dude is a content maker and has left the real work of an actual mechanic to making hit videos for a living. Take whatever y’all like for what it’s worth I guess. I’m going to keep trucking and if it happens to blows up, oh well new truck it is.

Clickbait is clearly his is primary source of income now. Sure, he can bend wrenches, but how many of the millions made can he touch,,, let alone when he's spending the majority of his time dramatizing?

I used to worry about the whole truck having issues. Rightfully so, because that was when I owned a Chevy.
