Anyone ever have an interest in an electric motorcycle? I sold my bike a few years back, had a Yamaha FZ6 and rode a trail bike for over 10 years and wish the EV bikes out there were cheaper and had better range but saw a few commuter bike under 100 mile range for under $7,000 and a few less than that. I'd like to get back on a bike and don't see myself doing long trips over 100 miles anymore.

Anyway the Zero brand have some nice looking bikes but the price is almost that of some EV cars. Would you buy an EV bike?

Where I live, a quiet bike is a death sentence. A loud bike improves your life expectancy by a few percentage points.

    I’d buy an Energica.

Probably some of the best looking EV bikes out there.

For most of the riding I like to do an electric motorcycle isn't ready yet. For my daily commute it might be okay but I do a decent amount of long distance riding and my expected range for a tank of fuel is around 250 miles, stop, refuel, and go again. Fuel stops take only a few minutes and then back on the road. Electric isn't really suitable for that and might not be for quite some time.

Yeh I don't know what the longest range bike is, I just starting researching them but they really are for under 175 miles range one way so far it seems.

Here's a nice commuter bike around $6k, unfortunately it's made in Ukraine but interestingly has a 4 speed box on it. Only bike I have seen with one. It's the ScrAmper. About 90 miles range 75mph max speed
