Looking for a Black Friday deal on a dash cam. Never had one. Anybody have one they like? Anything I should look for?

    Oh look, another mod....

It all depends on two things: Your expectations & Budget. There are a lot of others out there, so do your research and buy the one you like the most.

I picked the Garmin Mini (they have the Mini 2 now), because it's very affordable, easy to install and had the options I wanted and none of the ones that I didn't!

looks slick but the rear view mirror in my 2014 base model definitely doesn’t have a power source. It didn’t even come with intermittent wipers, damn Toyota could’ve given me that one, had to install it myself

You should check your headliner behind the sunglasses holder. I bet you'll find the powered rearview mirror connectors back there and with some reading / probing you could find your power source

Have a VanTrue Si front/rear that was very affordable, easy to install and works great. Also a best buy from Wirecutter.
