Finally got her home. Have parts ordered and on the way. Started stripping down the other truck. Let the fun begin!

First thing. Replace the cloudy headlights, turn signals and corner markers. So quick and simple, yet makes such an improvement.

Next was returning the factory radio from my other 04 into this one. I don’t care much for aftermarket head units. This crux Bluetooth adapter is great. Plugs into the back of the OE radio and streams seamlessly and extremely clear.

Now to install my X2 battery from the other truck. It’s been sitting since February. Installed and fired right up. Great product. Also a replacement battery tie down and cable terminals.

Recently, installed 881s and the J59s from my other truck along with nitro chargers. The ride is so much better than the ragged out stock suspension. I don’t feel every little crack in the road anymore. And she sits much better. About a half an inch lower in the front.

I also took the time to Raptor line the bed, bumper trim and valance, side mirrors, fender flares and along the lower rocker panel to protect from rocks. Only took a day to do!

They’re both at 280k. Which is fine. I’m in the planning stages of a drivetrain swap. So, having a solid rust free truck was more important for this purchase.

280k should be just fine for these engines. I am at 242k running strong

Oh for sure. They both ran great. My rust bucket was supercharged from the 5k mark and ran great. This one is strong as well.

The swap is just something I always wanted to do.

Finally got around to starting my black interior swap. Since I have a complete extra grey interior, I figured if something really got messed up, it would be easily replaced. I recently received my wet okele seat covers for the rear seat. But I have yet to order ones for the Subaru seats that installed not too long ago. So it’ll be a bit before the interior is complete.

Anyway, wrapped the headliner with 1.5mm neoprene to match the seat covers. Also will be placing neoprene on the door panels as well. So hopefully everything will match. Painted all the plastic except for the dash, flat black. The kick sills, I plan on Raptor lining soon.

I started with the headliner and while it was out of the truck, I installed some sound deadening material (Killmat) and noico red for some thermal installation.

Today, I pulled the old carpet out to be replaced with new black carpet from Rock Auto and installed the headliner.

Today consisted of installing sound deadening, new carpet, wet okele seat covers for the rear and installing some of the painted interior plastic pieces.

Interior mods look good! What kind of paint are you using for your trim pieces?

Thanks! I’ve got some time before I jump into some big mechanical mods and this is just something I’ve always wanted to do. Just rust oleum flat black for plastic. Several coats with a few coats of flat clear over it.

Thanks bud! I’d love to see some pics! What’re you planning to do for the grab handles and seatbelts?

Continued on the door panels. Added Kilmat and Noico to the exterior inner door to help with sound. Still not sure what to do about my armrests!

I have a complete extra grey interior from my old truck that I’m painting black. I’m waiting to see how this paint holds up. If it doesn’t I’m going to take the other set to an upholsterer and have them done professionally.

Do you still have the seats available for sale? If so, how much? I'm in TX so they would have to be shipped.

What a beautiful truck. I'm looking into getting similar wheels but I'm between either gloss gunmetal grey or the matte grey. I'm curious which ones you ended up choosing?
