Got these OEM chrome tailgate letters for a Christmas gift and installed them on my new 2019 Cavalry Blue TRD Sport. If anyone is interested the Toyota part # is 00016-35071 and are available on Amazon or ebay using that part #. Easy install and perks up the look of a rather blah tailgate. Also installed the OEM SS Chrome Exhaust Tip that was a cinch to install. The Toyota part # for the SS Chrome Exhaust Tip is: PT932-35162 also available on Amazon and ebay. Both of these parts were shipped from a Toyota Dealership. Enjoy your Tacoma!!!IMG_1504.jpgIMG_1505.jpg

    Better run.

All the cool kids around here will tell you you should be blacking that stuff out, because they hate chrome.

I like yours, but I'm not a cool kid. :D

Well, I am many decades past being a "kid" but it is the look I want and that's all that matters.

this is funny. and pretty true!

i debadged my truck and i bought the black insert letters for the gate, but decided to keep my white truck white and i gave those inserts to a TW member for free. right move for me, but i am surprised to say i quite like your chrome letters on that blue. good work and nice to see something different.

That's right, blacked out is the only way to go. JK, it's up to the owner of the truck to do what they like. Looks good OP, enjoy your truck as much as I enjoy mine.

I installed the chrome 4X4 emblem found on SR5’s and Limiteds on my OR’s tailgate. I think a little chrome still looks good.

Found this on eBay. It's not oem. But, it's cheaper.

Me too... the chrome looks great on my Tacoma as well (I’m still trying to understand the chrome hate, all plain and blacked out versions look dull and unimpressive to me)... I’m not a kid any more either..!

I think chrome looks even better on the Blazing Blue Pearl!

Now I get it why guys running ‘earthy’ colored PUs go for the all blacked out lettering ... but variety also works for others.
