Checkout A.R.E. Had a LS-ll on my previous truck and getting one for new taco tomorrow after a three week wait due to color match process. Depends oh how you want to use one. Pros, cons with the various types, i.e. Hard cover vs folding type. Both have good features

Ive had two trucks now with the Undercover SE on them. Both of them gave me good water tight service and are easy to remove and reinstall. Light too. They are ABS plastic so this one weighs about 65 pounds. I can take it off myself. I took the one off my Tundra by myself. Its certainly better to have two to line it up easier for reinstall but I bet you could do it yourself anyway.

That one above is the crinkle black one. Here it is the color matched painted one I had on the Tundra, Liked it so much and it fit my uses so well I put that one above on the Taco.

Ya i feel like the trifold is more convenient, but never had either so i would ask... So fitting wise, does the OEM fit better than the xtang? going trugh https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/tonneau-cover-reviews.401996/page-5 but everyone has different opinions

Also do you have to modify the rails on your truck? i think to install the OEM one you do??

I liked it so much I bought one again.

No problems at all. Dry as a bone back there. And light and easy to remove.

Im talking about the SE model. The solid one. Undercover makes a line of tri-folds too but I cannot speak for them as Ive never owned one. They look nice.

As to the SE, I took mine off by myself. It weighs about 65 pounds. You can take it loose and slide it off yourself. And hang it on a wall for that matter. Comes with some wall brackets. Its ABS plastic. Like that stuff they make bed liners out of. Its a lot lighter than a Fiberglass type.

Why limit it to one tri-folder and one solid? Id look around at both and also other brands tri folders too. There are a couple of long threads already on here about both of those. Have you done a search and read those? Nothing is exactly perfect and without some compromise. The folder people say those all leak to some extent. The solid top people say they are harder to take off and you cant haul much tall stuff when they on. So its a toss up. I went with one keeps my stuff dry and is the easiest to take off after that compromise was made. You'll have to decide what works for you. And is in your budget.
