Exceptional Grip Strength On Wires When Used With Crimper
A very good kit with multiple sizes of heat shrink butt connectors for electrical wiring. I used this heat shrink butt connectors for sprinkler control valve wiring.Choose the correct size for the gauge of wires to be connected, insert the wires and use an appropriate crimping tool, you will have a solid connection that won't easily pull apart. Not having an extra pair of hands to help, sometimes it is a bit tricky to hold the two wire leads tight into the openings of the butt connector while using the crimping tool. A few times, after the crimping, I found on end of the wire was not inserted all the way and had to pull the crimped connector off of the other piece of wire. This was not easy even on an 18 gauge sprinkler control wire!!! The crimped connections are solid! After crimping, use a heat gun to shrink the ends of the connector so the connection is water tight!Highly recommended!

I wired up a garage stereo system this past weekend. I found the connectors were easy to use. I liked the fact that there's a limiter in the middle of each connector that limits how far in a wire can be inserted. This eliminated the possibilities of over inserting the wire and clamping down on the insulated part of the wire. My heat gun shrunk the extended ends easily making everything waterproof.
