While he still chewed this, we were able to keep almost all of his stitches in for the full two weeks. We had to re-wrap about every day and a little more often toward the second week. After getting frustrated by regular human cohesive bandage with the dog licking and chewing it off, I got this one. I was a little worried since the dog can't read the "no chew!" emblazoned on the bandage, but it is indeed a little bitter so wash your hands after putting it on. It also sticks to itself much better than the stuff we use on humans which helps keep it on, though it can take some work to find the edge and start peeling it off the roll and then unwrapping it from the dog is really hard and easier to just cut it (being careful to not cut the dog).

My dog has allergies and we constantly have issues with his paws. Since they can't really 'react' like humans with allergies. They lick and chew their paws, get horrible ear infections no matter how clean you try to keep them and get staff/bacteria infections on their stomach.

If you have a pup with allergies you know what I'm talking about and the pain in the wallet from the vet office visits. Also the sad fact that everyone knows you by name.

So I purchased the no chew wrapping when he had an infection in his front paws. He HATED having it on his feet and for a day walked funny. He didn't chew or lick his paws tho so I was happy.

6 months later I pretend he's all gangster. Like OK fine, wrap my paws bro imma still lick and chew them. What now!! LOL

So needless so say it no longer works and I'm very sad about it. They need to make stronger batches for dogs that have had long term use.
