I carried a folding step when camping but not around town. It cost $20 but did not want stolen or sliding around bed in town. I realized that when I'm loading stuff in at curbside pickup or Home depot I had to use tire as step to climb in. Then when I got home same thing.
So I broke down and bought this because the sooner you get it the more use you will get.
Works great and use all the time. Plenty sturdy.
Installation was easy. I used torque wrench and started the first bolt to frame by hand which will hold in place while tightening. Yes you need a socket wrench and extension but I don't know how someone can get by without basic tools. Could probably get by without torque wrench and just make tight. 33 lbs and 66 lbs is not a huge amount.
If you have a need to climb in bed periodically get it. Don't wait years.
