I like the Diamondback covers but they have raised there price up another 50$ for a total of $1899. seems over price I know there Nice, but company's that do this type of shit will make up any excuses, wen its just a bunch of bullshit Money hungry people.

So i been looking at Peragon HD covers with coupon code it comes to $1428
This would be my 2nd option they always have a code to take money off.
what's your experience with Peragon if you have one please post pics to would like to here from other members, I just cant see my self dropping $1899 for a bed cover, I'll rather spend $1899 on a lift before a bed cover...

I’ve never heard of them and I’ve always had a bed cover or shell on my truck bed. I would say that if you’re going to invest that much money in something that you plan on keeping for a long time and using a lot, it would probably be worth the extra $400 to get the Diamondback which has been proven to be a great product.

Maybe the Paregon ones are really good too, but I’ve never heard of them and I’ve been in the truck game for a while.

OH trust me my head goes back & forth on these Peragon are nice but they seem to get allot of water in the bed still. Diamondback are bad ass barely gets any water in the bed.

What is the reason for the tonneau cover? If it's security, Paregon is not it (I have owned one).

I have a Retrax on my truck now and will buy one from now on.

I bought my diamondback from their outlet store. Saved me like $300 and still has full warranty.

the way the paregon retracts, your bed space is limited. More than one time I had to army crawl in my bed to pull an item that had moved forward and blocked the cover operation.

Two of the roller brackets broke off, but they sent me replacement's asap.

Another thing, if needed, driving around with the tonneau retracted is not a good idea. Loud and causes damage.

I always loved the look and function of the diamondbacks. I had Bakflip’s on a couple trucks and then sold the Bakflip I had on my Tacoma to upgrade to an ARE shell. The Bakflip MX4’s are phenomenal bed covers. They seal the bed very well. Not that you asked lol

I had a diamondback SE back in the day and liked it until you needed to use the bed for something. I’ve now got a switchback and I’m much happier with it (minus the rear clamps but I fixed that on my own with a better solution). It’s nice to be able to fold up both for temporarily more space or to remove as one complete unit.

Ya they are OK but them Bakflip people can get into very easy all it takes is a metal wire or coat hanger to pick & pull that lil thin string of the lach, Ill pass up on anything with that type of set up...

The SE? I never took it off because I thought it was a pain. You had remove both panels then unbolt the middle section.

the switch back I just fold all the way to the front and you can secure it with the strap. Then take it off after removing the clamps. It’s a lot easier to store too imo

Makes sense! I never used it for security purposes.

Yep. I had a SE on my 2017 Tacoma. Sold it after a year or two and went to a softtopper. Just got one for my tundra this fall

This is how I redid the rear. Works a lot better than the supplied clamps.
    IMG_6097.jpg

These are the clamps it comes it. I just got a couple u bolts to use to attach the end of the ratchet to. I can get a lot more pressure and it’s a lot easier to secure. The clamps are angled so they don’t sit right in the bed rail. There’s probably a different clamp out there you could use but it was getting toward winter so I was running short on time looking for other pieces.

I have a Peragon cover and it works great! How you are going to use it will make a big difference in which you should choose. They are reasonably secure but remember, if someone really wants in, no cover is 100% secure. As with all covers a certain amount of water will get in but it is not excessive. They are easy to pop out if you want to use the entire length of the bed. Overall I would say they are very good but again, it mostly depends on what you are looking for and how you are going to use it.

    Huh?

It's a bed cover. The point of a bed cover is cheap, cheaper than everything else, and not getting the additional storage space everything else has.

I've had a cover, softopper, and shell

the cover was rollup out of the way and about $100.
