Is anyone with a pixel 6 or pixel 6 pro experiencing issues with the BT dropping when on a call?

In my 2017 3rd gen, my phone connects and plays music just fine but when receiving or making a phone call, I can only speak for a few minutes before it disconnects. Tried a few things to fix - forgetting the connections, verifying updates, removing all the other saved devices from the truck. Issue remains.

Been attempting to check software updates via entune and from what I can tell all is good. Any guesses?

I wish I could help, but mine seems fine so far. I don't have entune, as that I use Android Auto. I know Bluetooth is separate. So far my Bluetooth has stayed connected on any phone calls that I've made. I wonder if it's a Bluetooth issue at all or is it a phone connectivity issue with your carrier? I guess first things first, try rebooting your phone and seeing if that corrects the issue. Outside of that, it seems like you're on the right track.

Sorry for the lack of help, my Google pixel 6 has stayed connected so far. I'll let you know if something weird happens in the next few days.

Yeah, it's fairly odd. The phone works great otherwise and I can speak on calls with my Bluetooth headphones perfectly fine. It only seems to be an issue when it comes to my truck. Attempted a reboot and a network reset just in case but it didn't help either. Wondering if my phone might be a one off issue that would need to be warrantied.

Updates to fix issues can be found here, op. Not guaranteed to fix your issue, but it's worth a shot.

I am having the exact same issue on a 2016 Gen 3. Music plays fine, and calls work fine through numerous different earbuds but not through the truck's Bluetooth. The phone will disconnect from Entune but the phone call is usually still connected/active. I updated Entune through the App on my phone, and tried a few changes to the Bluetooth "Developer" settings on the P6Pro, but nothing has worked yet. I hope I can find a fix soon, it is my only issue with this phone. The Pixel 2XL I as using before worked perfectly with Entune.

I had the same problem. Google tried the basic troubleshooting and then said it had to be resolved through Toyota. My local dealership tried nothing and said it had to be resolved through Google. I only had a 14 day return window, so I had no choice but to return my Pixel 6 Pro.

Sounds the same as my issue then. I should have clarified that my call doesn't actually drop but it stays connected. Just my Bluetooth connection drops and I'm unable to here the call. I also have my device in developer mode and nothing has changed. The issue sucks but I am glad it's not just me. @ktbell444 posted details on updating the software on the truck so I am gonna give that a go once I get a chance.

Willing to give it a shot. Thanks for this! I'll report back once I do it. (Fingers crossed)

It's definitely not just you. Several commenters in this reddit thread have reported the same thing with various Toyota makes and models, so it seems like a somewhat widespread issue.

Someone mentioned in another thread about having issues with their iPhone connecting after updating the iOS version. Given that the Pixel 6 is new, I imagine it could be similar. Their fix was a recent update to entune. My truck auto downloaded an entune update last week. No issues for me so far.

Update: My entune was indeed out of date but thanks to @ktbell444 I was able to get the lastest update loaded.

Bad news is the issue still persistent. After the update I placed a test call and about 4 minutes in the BT connection dropped and I lost audio.

Disappointed that this phone and my truck aren't playing nice together. I'm still in my trial period so I could go with something else but it's literally the only issue I'm having with the phone.

Last time I updated I also completely reset the headunit. Might be worth a shot?

Yes. I have a pixel 6 pro and I have the same issue. Streams music fine, Bluetooth connection drops after a few minutes on a call. It's definitely a wide spread issue. I saw people talking about it on Reddit when I was trying to find a solution. Seems to be effecting most Toyotas.

My guess is there is some software bug on Google's side. They'll fix it eventually. I had a Pixel 3 for years and it never once dropped Bluetooth in my Tacoma.

Any of you guys having fingerprint reader issues? Mine Pixel 6 only unlock about 25% of the time. The rest of the time I had to pin unlock it. Tried everything to get it working and none of it helped. Sadly, it went back this morning. It's a shame because it's the first Pixel that actual felt like a premium device. And the camera was insanely good. Guess I'll be holding on to my 3A XL for another year. lol

Try adding the same fingerprint two or three times, just like you’re adding prints from another finger.

I had all 5 filled with my thumb. Also added them in the dark. Turned on Touch Sensitivity in settings. Turned on force refresh rate in Dev Options. Like I said, I tried it all. lol

Hm that sucks. I've definitely heard of people having issues but I didn't know it was that bad. I only put both thumbs in once and it works fast well over 90% of the time. Occasionally it has to think about it but that's the worst it gets for me.

I guess an update is supposed to be coming in December at some point. If nothing else maybe that will correct the issues Toyota folks are having with Bluetooth connectivity

Same, I have little to no issues with my fingerprint reader but it might because the reader on my old phone was crap so anything is better in comparison lol
