It won't matter if it's chlorinated or not, brake cleaner won't do anything to your gun. it's not an etchant and it evaporates very fast. try to remember, this stuff has to be safe enough for abs components

if you just need to clean a tip, unscrew it and the clean it.
I usually don't bother and end up replacing them before I need to clean them

protip: just use brake cleaner for brakes. I like valvoline

I didnt want to kill myself so I just replaced the whole gun, it wasnt that much. I'll have to get the model # but it was only the 115v I want to say 350 but not sure...I'll check tomorrow. I know it has the hook up for Tig, Id just have to replace the tip to the gas tip.

I always thought 100 points in each event was the minimum. Especially when they went away from the 82, 92 and 11:54.

if you switched with someone else, it's your responsibility to ensure that change is reflected on the duty roster

Meh, still get paid the same, still get the same customs and courtesies and a more fun and more relaxed job.

Not to mention highest retention, high retread and highest AFQ score to get in.

Recruiter: I’m sorry son, you don’t quite qualify for the CG, have you considered the Army?

Window licker: I done cooked thing, fire in kitchen, I smell smoke and done runnin.

Army Recruiter: we’ll take it from here.

Don’t get me started on Navy Recruiters. They are like flies on shit in San Francisco and I heard they set up a tent outside this place with a 1/4 duty rotation.

BTW, that was the Army Recruiter.

CG recruiter looked at me and said “does it look like I give a shit?”

the highest asvab minimum of 40, weird flex... but ok

and some of us weren't looking for "relaxed"

but yeah, I've worked with every branch, including phs and noa.

they're all different and they all bring their capabilities to the table.

the only time I had serious problems: when I had to be near someone with a poor work ethic or was habitually inappropriate

as for the rest, shit talking is part of most military cultures. it breeds competition and builds cohesion

That’s after we lowered it several years ago to get lower enlisted in. We had training on how to talk to non rates (E2/E3) about how they’d be stuck doing 4 years cause they didn’t qualify for any schools.

I wasn’t looking for relaxed but it’s how it panned out. My interest was in helping people and a lot of the CG is that way. There’s an old sticker for the CG that says “you sink ‘em, we save ‘em”. We don’t train for war, we train for what we do every day. Saving lives at sea, stopping drugs, enforcing maritime law (only branch that has law enforcement authority).

Love my job, love my service and I fully appreciate every branch out there and what they bring to the table. But I’ll still talk shit and test their limits at the bar!

yeah, i didn't answer those questions for applicants. they did their own sf86

they didn't qualify? not my problem

and if they couldn't follow instructions to fill out their sf86 I told them so and sent them away. the sf86 was like a poor man's iq test. they usually went to another branch if they fucked it up, most of them with their fucked-up sf86 in-hand

hell yeah, the last time I saw your branch at work was on the news off the coast of Alaska when some stupid fuck sunk his fishing boat

i wouldn't do that job, suit up with fins to helocast into rough arctic seas? to rescue a combative fat meth addict? fuck that noise, not interested, no thank you, good bye

but someone has to do it, I'm just glad it ain't me

i do remember running into some DOG guys circa 2008-ish, decent guys

edit: if it was me and some other uniformed bloke in a bar and he's getting beat on?

    fucking begin.

and if I found out he was wrong and should eat his teeth? we settle that ourselves afterwards

There’s a CG boat in here 47’ Motor Life Boat. Designed to self right in the event of a capsizing.
