Anybody have a link to the clips that hold the interior door panel on? A few of mine are broken.

Vatozone has them or you can get them on eBay.

I need to do this. The hum of M/T's as enjoyable as it is makes it very hard to make a call.

Did mine a couple weeks ago. 1/8 frost king on the inside and thinner peel n seal on the outside. Sounds better with just the doors done

Was your wheel foam material loose at the top at all? Mine is detached from the metal wheel frame from sun damage and I'm wondering if a little glue and one of these wraps would fix it..

It must be a Taco thing. My steering wheel was the same way. The whole top was loose. I drilled holes from the middle all the way to about half way down. I drilled until I hit the metal. Then I pumped shoe goo into the holes. I rotated the steering wheel forward and backward to spread the shoe goo. Pack it in as much as you can. I let it sit for a day and it was good to go. I wrapped it to hide the drilled holes. Good as new.

Awesome! Now I just have to decide which color looks the least horrible with my ugly blue interior...

Since this was a thread that convinced me to go the budget route and use Frost King duct insulation, I think I should post here with a link to my results.
tl;dr - I insulated the entire cabin and used a sound meter to test before and after. Using FK had zero benefit to reducing the noise levels in the cabin. It was almost entirely a waste of time and money.

My first car was a 68 Baja bug with dual glass packs and that was very loud. I removed all the interior and then put down Quick Roof from Home Depot. I think it came in 6" by 25' rolls. After installation, I could barely hear the glass packs unless I had the windows down. it was $16 per roll.

Fox 2.0 Coilovers in the front and Fox 2.0’s in the rear, Total Chaos UCA’s, Al-lpro expo leafs, K&N cold air intake, TRD headers,Magnaflow catback exhaust,URD short throw shifter, switched out my 60/40 bench seat for some Tacoma Limited seats, Replaced the vinyl shift boot for a leather one, completely soundproofed the cab w/ Frost King. Replaced stock radio with a Pioneer AVH series head unit. Focal component system w/a 10" sub powered by 2 Alpine amps. Weathertech floor mats. Line-X'd the bed. SCS Ray 10’s, Installed an A.R.E. MX series camper shell. All-Pro Apex front bumper w/ All-Pro skid plates all the way back to the Trans. Low Range fuel skid plate.
I used the Frost King when I first bought my truck after a long road trip. Call it the Placebo effect but my truck seems a lot quieter than it was.

swapped bench for bucket seats, monstalinered the bed.
Is there anything you need to be sure not to cover, drain holes for instance? I'm in the same boat as Blackat with the handle change-out and might try his solution. It's great when people find the same products from different industries at much, much better prices. Nice!

Great pics from Caligula, and I'd love to ride in a Taco treated that comprehensively, but I'm afraid that level of sound deadening is just, um, aspirational for me, though I wish I'd thought about sound deadening when I switched out the bench for buckets. Might have tried something then. Maybe next time I need to change out seats. This seems like one of the few vehicles that can run long enough for that to be needed eventually, haha.

Lastly, is it worth trying to treat the back of a regular cab, base?

Thanks to all posting here. This forum is amazing. So far I've found answers to every Taco question I've run into, and maybe I've not been around enough yet to see it, but without the snark, snootiness, or general hostility seemingly inevitable elsewhere. What a cool resource!

If you mean the rear wall, yes. Look at my link above, I believe most of the cab noise I experience is coming in through the cabin vents and the rear wall.

I second that. I'm also quasi-active on the FB group. As you can imagine, it's a cesspool of guys trying to assert their dominance over each other, seeing how far they can insult someone, and demeaning anyone they see as less than macho. If you ask how to do something, they just reply with "hit with your purse".
