So who is playing the waiting game. When is your truck being delivered and what have you ordered. Share your anxiety and celebration when the truck comes in. Those who are waiting for more inventory without orders can share their stories as well.

TRD Sport DCSB 2WD Super White w/ Towing, Premium Tech w/JBL No other options except what I add at the dealer before delivery. Ordered Sept 2 Received VIN (real) Sept 17 Dealer expects Oct 14 delivery. I am thinking more with the order they are getting on the 4th...Back up Invoice deal plus Doc fees at another Dealer for December Delivery or sooner If I switch to Limited

Mine should arrive in Eastern NC on Oct. 14. Build date of Sept. 29. Ordered a DCSB TRD OR 4x4 MGM w/tech package (non-JBL) and tow package. The wait is killing me and I keep researching things I want to do to it!

 

Same here. Yesterday. DCLB Sport 4x4 /tow BBP. Late Nov.

 

Really would like to drive one for comparison. The biggest dealer here doesn't have one yet. Waiting....

Here in N. Alabama we had none at the dealer before Thursday, but there were about 8 on Sat, so I got to test drive before I ordered. I think I will be happy.

 

Do you currently have a Tacoma?

 

I had an 08 identical config, but sold it a few years back to pay for a return to college. Now have a BS and MS (Dec) in engineering. Best investment ever. Getting a replacement as a grad gift for myself.

 

What did you think after the test drive?

 

My DCSB Quicksand Sport originally had a build date of 9/19, and then 10/13, and moments ago I received an email saying it is now 10/20. I was told it has something to do with the color, but who knows. I'm just waiting for the next email saying it's been bumped up another 2 weeks.

 

I'm waiting on my black TRD Sport 4x4 AC. It should be here any time from two days ago to sometime around tomorrow. Obviously it could be later than that. The wait at this point is driving me nuts. lol

 

I'm waiting for the dealers to get more in. I'm wanting a black DCSB TRD Sport but without all the packages that drive the price up even farther. I don't need a sunroof or a fancier audio system, especially if they're thousands of dollars.

 

I thought it was definitely quieter, had plenty of power and they did a very good job on the interior. Something about the dash design makes it feel roomier/less intrusive that the 2nd gen.

I played with ECT, and did notice a difference, but for any ordinary driving, it is just fine turned off. It was comfy and more refined than the gen 2, but I wouldn't say there is anything groundbreaking except for a few tech goodies. Just a nice truck.

Also, didn't mind the grill so much in person, though I may emblacken it still.

 

At my dealer, they had a crap ton of extra stuff added on everything. Negotiate a price and order one with just the essentials you need.

 

Got me wanting to poke around in one even more now. Thanks.

 

Ordered from the dealer 9/23 Black TRD OR DCSB JBL TOW Pac. Dealer told me possibly December pick up. Praying to god its not going to be that long. Appraised my 2013 I am sure the appraisal will mean nothing in Dec.

Original build date was supposed to be 9/18, but that got bumped to 9/26

Should be in around 3rd week of oct.

 

"Ordered" mine on 9/8/15, and by order I mean I placed the deposit after she already secured the vehicle to go to their dealership... meaning it was already going to be built, they just put my name on it.

Build date is 9/29/15 on Tuesday, expecting it 3 weeks after on 10/20/15... exactly 1 week after I would have really liked it for a trip that I will now have to push my 2003 170k mile Chevy Cavalier through.

I found that the more "special" changes you make the less likely they are to negotiate. I asked for that on one and they didn't really want to haggle, second dealer I sent them my price, agreed and it just happened to have more upgrades than I was looking for.
