Product Description

The Spy Bolt is an updated and improved version of the old Soviet KGB "dead drop" hollow bolt used during the Cold War. It features an O-ring seal for weather-proof storage of small valuables, communications, etc. Simple, ingenious design is essential for the concealable gadgets spy work calls for. The Spy Bolt fits the bill perfectly. This device utilizes a ½" diameter bolt providing a larger storage area than the original. It also features reverse threading on the bolt head for additional security. BONUS only in 4.8 cubic inch bolt: The larger, 4.8 cubic inch bolt now comes with 2 storage containers that fit neatly inside of the bolt. Use is optional, but these containers can come in handy if you'd like to keep more than one item separate within the bolt. The containers feature a water tight plastic screw top and durable glass transparent body. Capacity of each container is 4mL.

But if I do I have no doubt it will not be found. However the title of this spy bolt states specifically“large & small”As in other products that offer more than one size, you have the opportunity to choose which you want small, med, large / 10oz, 12oz, 14oz etc....With this product it doesn’t give u an option to choose which size, giving the customer the assumption that it includes both.So needless to say I was very disappointed when opening the package and only received one.

    This thing is heavy, and absolutely convincing. And you'd never discover accidentally that it's a secret compartment. In fact, this is the second one I've bought. The first one got thrown away (by someone else, cleaning my car) because it looked like a real bolt (old, useless bolt) I had hidden under the car seat with 200.00 in it. Arrrrrgggghhhh!!!!! So I recommend this to anyone, but just be sure you don't let it get thrown away like I did!

    I was very impressed with how genuine this feels and looks! The threading stops an inch or so before the head, and looks kind of greasy like it's been in use or laying around in a shop. The head unscrews backwards so when I gave it to my buddy without any knowledge of what it was, one of the first things he tried was to unscrew the head but it didn't budge so he just said, "Well, I don't know, what is it?" That was pretty awesome! It's got an o-ring where the threading on the head meets the shaft completely, so that it won't jam shut or anything. Very satisfied!

    I've tried a couple other storage containers similar to this one, and this one is the superior storage unit for my purposes. It's bigger than some but not as heavy as others. I can put medium to larger size fishing flies in this bolt and never worry about the flies getting deformed / squooshed. It's big enough to hold 5 medium to large flies and they shake right out without any problem. When ever I want to pull my flies out of my vest, I never have to stop & think about WHICH container has WHICH of my flies... I keep my favorite ones in my small, medium, & large bolt storage cases and never have to go searching! GREAT little item.

    This is a massive bolt. I'm very certain I ordered the small one, so I can't even imagine how big the big one is. The one I got is like 4" long. You can hide a lot of stuff in it, then hold it in your palm for added weight if you need to sock someone. Perfect size for socking someone.
    I did knock off a star because I think the small one is just too big. Well made.

    No matter what you gotta hide, this does the trick. I have also installed a ny-lock nut on the threaded end to facilitate easy removal and replacement of the hex end. I keep it in my toolbox with other nuts & bolts and it is completely camouflaged in the box. I installed the nut to add to the weight so it doesn't seem too light upon cursory investigation. Ny-lock is great, as it doesn't come off when using the left-hand threaded cap.

    The bolt I recieved was much bigger, and thicker, than the one pictured. The hidden compartment is larger but the bolt itself is more difficult to conceal. You cannot put it in the front pocket of your jeans. To be effective it would have to be placed in a tool bag or box, trunk of a car, or other appropriate surroundings. it's also quite heavy...about a pound. This sticks out like a sore thumb in a jacket pocket. So while the compartment is well hidden and a good place for jewelry, cash, whatever... the bolt itself is overt. This means it's only useful in a very specific context. A huge heavy bolt in your glove compartment might prompt curious people to start toying with it. Keep that in mind before purchasing.
