Cons: The plastic washers do not fit in the cross bar assembly so you’ll need to trim one of them so you do not damage the cross assembly with repeated setups and tests.
The slot bar rocked a little end to end in the miter slot, not sure why, but didn't seem to affect readings. Only other negatives were the battery installed in the tool was dead, so good thing they include a spare; and the little nylon washers for the machine screws were too tight and difficult to install.
No need to spend more for a saw gauge. Thrilled to have this tool.
First functional problem - the "dado" in the miter bar where the slider bar nests and fastens to when you set it with the screw leaves a lot of play in the joint. The magnets are so strong that its difficult to move back and forth in the tabletop miterslot, and it causes this joint to wiggle. Cmon iGaging - this does not help accuracy for the +/- .001mm digital gauge that you packaged with this.
Second, the entire miter bar. The first time I put this in my tabletop miterslot, one of the magnets fell right out revealing the little-to-no adhesive used in construction. The magnet wont stay in its slot. The miter bar has this trapezoidal profile shape you can see at the end - is this intentional or bad manufacturing? Whether its the magnets or the little wiggly springloaded pins, the miter bar doesnt slide smoothly in my tabletop at all. It slides as coarse as scraping rusty metal might feel.
Other reviews comment that they figured this product out and it works fine or they had a friend machine it to make it work, but for $70ish and brand new, I wouldve expected it to work flawlessly out of the box. Returning it to amazon asap.

I have 2 complaints, the first is that the little plastic washers that come with it do not fit, which seems a little sloppy from iGaging, but certainly did not effect the results, it just makes it a little tougher to tighten down and untighten the bolts it comes with.
The bigger issue is that it's very hard to tighten this into a miter slot accurately. There are pressure points on the bar to keep it sturdy in the slot as you use it, but I found that I still had to push it against one side of the miter slot every time I moved it to make sure it was snug against the edge. The magnets helped hold it steady, but when trying to tune something to within 0.001", it would be nice to have a more snug fit so there is no play in the slot.
