I bought this iGaging digital saw gauge to fine tune my my table saw blade and rip fence alignment. It came packaged adequately with no damage. I took one look at the instructions as I unboxed it and thought, "Ugh - garbage." I didnt mind it at first, because assembly seemed intuitive and easy based on the few pieces and clear picture on the box. However, it comes with 3 or 4 plastic washers that only seem to work at the digital gauge attachment pivot - they don't fit in the channel on top of the slider bar where you think they would work best. So, the allen screws that fasten the miter and slider bar pieces together will damage the slider bar surface pretty much right away. The instructions have no mention of where you are supposed to use the washers or why there are so many of them. 2 stars for accuracy because at least the digital gauge part seems okay.First functional problem - the "dado" in the miter bar where the slider bar nests and fastens to when you set it with the screw leaves a lot of play in the joint. The magnets are so strong that its difficult to move back and forth in the tabletop miterslot, and it causes this joint to wiggle. Cmon iGaging - this does not help accuracy for the +/- .001mm digital gauge that you packaged with this.Second, the entire miter bar. The first time I put this in my tabletop miterslot, one of the magnets fell right out revealing the little-to-no adhesive used in construction. The magnet wont stay in its slot. The miter bar has this trapezoidal profile shape you can see at the end - is this intentional or bad manufacturing? Whether its the magnets or the little wiggly springloaded pins, the miter bar doesnt slide smoothly in my tabletop at all. It slides as coarse as scraping rusty metal might feel.Other reviews comment that they figured this product out and it works fine or they had a friend machine it to make it work, but for $70ish and brand new, I wouldve expected it to work flawlessly out of the box. Returning it to amazon asap.

I wanted to check the alignment of my tablesaw and blade. The unit is well built and functions as described. I like digital readouts over analog which is a nice feature. I liked how the quality seemed good, how it went into the slot guide for the miter and fit snuggle. I really have no issue with this and give it a high rating however did I really need this to check the tablesaw alignment? No and probably could have saved myself a little money but now I own it and will utilize it when needed to check alignments.

Easy to assemble and use. Makes trueing a tablesaw quick and simple… which was great for me because when my sawstop cts arrived just about everything was a little out of square. I’ve picked up a bunch of stuff from igaging for woodworking and it’s just as precise as starrett for less than half the price.

Pros: The unit will function as advertised, the digital indicator is accurate as stated which was confirmed with a set of Mitutoyo Grade 2 Gauge Blocks. The instructions are clear. I have a Granite top cabinet saw and assembly required installation of the secondary granite top to the left of the miter slot thus the left miter slot does have minor variation in the slot width however accurate measurements can be obtained by ensuring that spring pressure is to the left keeping the gauge riding the right side of the miter slot. Without too much effort I was able to get the fence within .006 inches throughout the length of the fence with repeatable results. Purchased in 2019 and have had no problem with the units. Battery is removed when storing the unit.
Cons: The plastic washers do not fit in the cross bar assembly so you’ll need to trim one of them so you do not damage the cross assembly with repeated setups and tests.

Been looking at saw gauge tools, most are double the price of this one. Thought I'd take a chance and order it. Ordered Thursday 1/3/2013, tool arrived unexpectedly today Monday 1/7/2013. I used it today in conjunction with a PALS kit to tune up my Delta contractor saw. This little tool almost made the job fun, so much better and faster than trying to measure with a ruler or stick. Digital part of tool easy to use, readout plainly visible. Spring pins in the slot bar automatically adjust to your miter slot, and magnets help hold in place, but still slides easily. Seems to be very accurate, with easily repeatable readings after sliding back and forth.

The slot bar rocked a little end to end in the miter slot, not sure why, but didn't seem to affect readings. Only other negatives were the battery installed in the tool was dead, so good thing they include a spare; and the little nylon washers for the machine screws were too tight and difficult to install.

No need to spend more for a saw gauge. Thrilled to have this tool.

I used this gauge to tune up my table saw and it worked extremely well for the purpose. The gauge seemed accurate and my resultant tuned up Delta saw preforms great

I have 2 complaints, the first is that the little plastic washers that come with it do not fit, which seems a little sloppy from iGaging, but certainly did not effect the results, it just makes it a little tougher to tighten down and untighten the bolts it comes with.
The bigger issue is that it's very hard to tighten this into a miter slot accurately. There are pressure points on the bar to keep it sturdy in the slot as you use it, but I found that I still had to push it against one side of the miter slot every time I moved it to make sure it was snug against the edge. The magnets helped hold it steady, but when trying to tune something to within 0.001", it would be nice to have a more snug fit so there is no play in the slot.
